How to Enroll

Enrolling is easy once you've selected a class you're qualified for. Please read the guidelines below before selecting a class. There are three different ways to sign up for classes. You can:

1. Enroll using the Internet. Civilian shooters can click on the "add to shopping cart" button on the class description page. You will be prompted to download a printable application after you have paid.

2. Enroll by phone. Call 310-471-2029 and follow the instuctions. You will need to download and fax in a student application.

3. Enroll by fax. Download and fax a student application to 310-476-4158 along with your desired class and payment information.

No one will be confirmed in a class until we have received full payment. We will be glad to put your name on the class list, but you will not be guaranteed the slot until we receive payment. If the class fills up, you will be dropped from the class list if payment has not been received.

Cancellation Policy/ Refund Policy

Classes are planned and instructors are assigned based on student enrollment. If you pay for a class and are unable to attend, if you give us 48 hours notice, we will be glad to transfer your credit to another class one time. If you cancel a second time, you will lose your credit. We do not give refunds or do credit card chargebacks. In case of extreme emergency, you must furnish us with WRITTEN documentation of this emergency for a refund to be considered. There are no exceptions.

Class Requirements and Skill Ratings

ITTS has minimum requirements for classes. There are two main reasons for this. Number one is our emphasis on safety. Number two is that we do not want to lower the level of training for other students if you cannot keep up with the class. This is not fair to the other students. We are proud of our unblemished safety record and will make NO compromises in this area. If we haven't seen you shoot you must provide evidence of successful completion of at least 24 hours of firearms training with a school that we recognize. We feel this is not too much to ask for since most of our classes are one or two days in length. Don't worry about being challenged in our beginning classes however. Our high student to teacher ratio insures that even the most experienced shooters will learn something in all of our classes.

Level One

No experience required

This is the first ITTS firearms class that 90% of our students take. Typical students in these classes include veteran target shooters, police officers and novice shooters. Beginning shooters are given special attention by the staff to insure safety for all.

Level Two

Must have completed a 2 day handgun class from an approved school or instructor within the last year to attend an intermediate class. LE can take level 2 without this requirement unless the officer is having difficulty qualifying. Then he must take level 1.

Skills Required

Through and complete understanding of range commands
Has experience carrying hot weapon in holster
Can deploy weapon from holster without safety violations
Can operate under stress induced conditions with good safety

These classes are high speed and training is advanced. Level Two classes are often attended by Level Three students. Typical students include veteran police officers, accomplished civilian competitive shooters, and graduates of intermediate/advanced classes from recognized firearms schools.

Level Three

Successful completion of level two classes or at least 24 hours of instruction in an intermediate level class from an approved school or instructor within the last year.

Skills Required

High level of safety with minimal supervision
Solid weapons manipulation (drawing, loading, unloading, malfunction clearing)
Can operate weapon with weak hand
Can shoot on the move
Is familiar with shooting moving and reactive steel targets
Has experience shooting in and around obstacles and shooting from unusual positions

Level Three classes contain our most advanced students. Typical students are firearms instructors from other schools, police officers working high risk details, and the most experienced and well trained civilian shooters.

Expert Level

Student must have completed at least one level III class from ITTS. NO EXCEPTIONS. DON'T ASK! Even if you are a firearms instructor or on a SWAT team, you still need to attend a level III class before attending expert level classes.
