Shotgun/Handgun Seminar

Saturday 2-10 Sunday 9-5 Location: Angeles Shooting Range Instructor: Scott Reitz Topics covered: Auto shotgun versus pump, Manipulation of shotgun, Safety brief, Loading/ downloading chamber checks both day and low level light, Singles with shotgun to pairs to failure drills followed by same with handgun, Sighting in of shotgun at 25 yard, Groupings of Slugs, Patterning of buckshot, Speed reloads to tactical with birdshot, Rolling Thunder drill to alternate dry stage to sidearm. Discussion of weapons dedicated versus non dedicated light systems for the shotgun, Varied positional shooting techniques from standing to prone to modifications, Night time shooting incorporating all previous techniques from two days with emphasis on unique problems of low level light engagements. Equipment needed: · Handgun with duty rig · Shotgun with sling · Eye & Ear protection . Body Armor (optional) · 200 Handgun rounds · 200 Birdshot · 75 Buckshot · 50 Slugs · Flashlight or light-mounted shotgun and handgun.
