Civilian Training

Many people have called and asked us if we train civilians given the fact that our instructors are active duty law enforcement officers and our training is tactical in nature. Our answer is overwhelmingly YES! Approximately half of our students are civilians.

Our philosophy is that anyone who is a law-abiding citizen and is willing to be safe and responsible with a firearm has the right to own and use a firearm for personal protection. To that end, we will teach you in the most safe and effective manner possible, using the same techniques utilized by police officers. Many of our continuing students are as good or better shots than police officers. The reason is that we train everyone in the same techniques. All training is done from the holster and our goal is to make you the best that you can possibly be. A few of our courses are for law enforcement only, but the vast majority of classes are open to everyone once they have attained a certain level of proficiency.

In order to judge which courses would be best for your needs, we encourage you to click on the class requirements link to see which class to start with. Once you have completed a few of the courses, and have demonstrated proficiency in these classes, most classes will be open to you.
